Some things are meant to change While others stay the same And some day when you look outside You wont know what your looking for But know that I will be there The moment that you need me Because thats what friends do A helping hand to lead the way When you are in the dark Open arms and an open heart A shoulder to cry on And an ear to listen With a million ways to make you smile And some days when you look out that window You will see them on the other side With a carton of ice-cream And a box of tissue A movie and a hug Because no matter what happens Friends will always know how to bring back that smile A friend will steal you from your house in the dead of night Just to play in the rain and have a good time A friend isnt the one who bails you out They are the one that got in trouble with you And the one you bail out along with yourself When things spin out and your alone A friend will anchor you and let you know that they are there A friend reads you poetry and tells you when its crap A friend walks miles with you in the dark even when their scared Just to make sure that you make it back ok A friend calls you in the hospital A friend sneaks you candy even though she knows youll be bouncing off the walls A friend laughs at you when you decide to go swimming in the ocean at 2 am They laugh because your drunk and still fully clothed A friend makes songs and poems about the times you had together A friend remembers all the stupid things you said when hanging out A friend thinks you are the most valuable thing in life Next to their boyfriend or girlfriend A friend will drive all night just to get to you and give you a hug when you scare them online That same friend will leave early the next morning so your mom doesnt realize they were there Through all the darkness and the pain Through the tears and the anger Through the good times and bad Through the thick and the thin Through bouts of inasnity And times of pure bliss Through girlfriends and boyfriends And dark stormy nights No matter whats going on And no matter how far A friend is forever As bright as a star They will lead you when your lost And pick you up when you fall They will hold you when your crying And take hits when all you want to do is fight They will wrestle you to keep you safe And spar with you to teach you how to be safe They will look you in the eyes when no one eles will And tell you that they love you When you think you are unloved They will stay up all night and let you talk And go with you to get your tattoos and peircings They will wipe your tears away when you cry And dance with you all night when your on top of the world They will tell you what to wear to a date And keep you semi calm They will protect you at the cost of their life And hold you when your in pain or sick They will keep you from realizing how bad an ingury is Untill you get to the ER And they will give you food when you are homeless A shower too They know how crazy your family is And they sometimes want to kill them to give you a chance They know just how crazy you are And never dare you to do stupid things They will clib trees with you And skinny dip under the moon Some things are meant to change While others stay the same And some day when you look outside You wont know what your looking for But know that I will be there The moment that you need me Because thats what friends do A helping hand to lead the way When you are in the dark In love I start to realize that some things only seemed to be what they were. |

A friend is forever As bright as a star They will lead you when your lost And pick you up when you fall (fav part) (Deep breath)Okay I absolutely loved it! You turned true friendship into a lovely piece of poetry. Well done! ~Should the truth be so buried |

This was reallly good, and described friendship but maybe shorten it a bit. You don't need all of this to give as good of a meaning as you did. A little less words. Less are more |

Thank you everyone. I was actually thinkging of all the stuff I have experienced with my friends which is why it is so long. Love you all. In love I start to realize that some things only seemed to be what they were. |
