i just saw a girl in a couple of my classes today and it was obvious that she was hiding something. it was so obvious that she was pretending she was alright but i knew that she wasnt. so this is for all the girls that pretend theyre alright, cuz you cant hide forever someone who should be happy is looking very sad its obvious something happened something tragic...something bad there is something broken deep down inside her soul where now's a person broken there was a person whole. i see her walking dejectedly down each and every hall in her myriad of sadness i sense no problem, small shes faking, ducking, running from who she is inside but who you are beneath yourself is something you cant hide and yet whene'er i see her i see something else there its something shining brightly for this light, i say a prayer. but i cant choose what my eyes see for both sides are in my sight but its obvious something's happened she's hiding darkness behind her light. and its shining through... True happiness is found after you think you have irretrievably lost it |

Wow, I was trying to pick out one particular stanza that I liked the most, but really I couldn't do it. This poem is just so amazing to me personally, because I feel like I am this girl sometimes. I'm sure the girl would feel happy knowing that someone was able to see through the front she's been putting on and to know that they really do care about her. Nice job! ~Alli~ |

Omg, this poem is sooo good. You say that you're only here to read. I don't see why. This stuff is awesome. Hope to see much more! |

I really love this. I can sort of relate and all that, but I know so many people who are exactly like what you're describing. It's so sad, that they think they CAN hide forever...they can't. Anyway, it was really awesome and I loved it! Remember:Tuck your chin, you're going to get hurt, so expect it and be ready. You might as well see it coming. |

I really felt for that girl, as if I knew her, well, in a sense I have, I've know girls like her and have been like her. I hate when that happens, when a girls looks so broken up but she refuses to stop pretending nothing's wrong. I know several girls exactly like this. But beyond that, I think this poem was great. Very true. Good job. |
