Yes.. i know one of the longest titles ever.. LOL.. anyway i'm confused all critiques welcome.. it confuses me so advice and constroctive criticism welcome!!

Have You Ever Seen A Shooting Star Save A Baby??

I’m at your side every time you cry
But I still sit here asking myself why?
Why I am the only one paying for what he did
The only one suffering after all you’re his kid
Every time I look into your eyes
I see the guy that held me down, ignoring my plaintive cries
I know I was stupid and it’s just as much my mistake
I should never have went to that party even if it was to eat the cake

You’re so much like your dad you scare me in every way
But you’re still my daughter no matter what anybody may say
I know you were a gift given from above
One of those angels sent to me with love
I don’t think I’ll go to sleep tonight
Because those nightmares keep waking me in fright
The thoughts of his skin upon my bony hip
The sounds of tearing material as my clothes slowly rip

In 16 years I’ve never seen the stars shine so bright
But I know their shining here for me and you tonight
Ella you’re my daughter and I love you so very much
I had made a mistake and reality I can no longer touch
I lost the love of my life
The man who was convinced I would be his wife
In return I got given one of life’s precious offerings
A baby on angel’s wing and a million lullabies to sing

The stars shine here for us tonight
For a new beginning in life, a chance to make everything right
So watch the shooting stars dance upon the sky
They are here for me and my daughter and there is no need to ask why
We have been thrown a lifeline to end all our pain
To take one step forward and make me sane

I really like this. I can see where you are coming from. A lot of emotion showed in this.
