Living in memories only half there
Coming to reasons that at reason stare
Dying in heart- far from the light
Warm in the breeze on a frigid cold night

No one is waiting for me anymore
There is no answer to my own door
Cold in the heat of 100 degrees
Falling asleep to the sound of the trees

Darker than a killer’s black heart
Everything breaking slowly apart
Only hope is left in my heart’s reserve
Sensible words are becoming absurd

Death is the cure for a long eternal life
As lucid as a cannibal running with a kite

liked this. the end did confuse me a little but it made me think twice, haha. the first two stanzas reminded me of my own writing style. very cool.

mm, i really liked this! I agree with y'all, writing "backwards" does make it interesting! You have to think harder and then you start coming up with numerous ideas about what the poems about..different for each person..which is great!

i have to admit, the end did throw me off too..but yes, that would be lucid, eh?lol

not quite sure if it would be but, never know...You know those cannibals...

i pretty much meant in those last lines (since they're throwing everone off) that death being the cure for life makes as much sense and a cannibal running with a kite.
