I woke up this morning Not knowing Not sure of where id be When light fled to hiding I ran along today Finding my own way I looked around the city And down the busy streets Each person there I saw Had a home where they belong I wandered around and past them With a sparkle and a grin I can’t afford to spend And I can’t just run again Though I don’t have a profit I earned from what most quit Many look ahead and dream For what may seem to please But in truth they’re just content Not happy with what they’ve spent I’ve searched everything under the sun and have less than when I begun but when I quit I finally saw that what I wanted I had all along the hopes and desires of people have formed a “one size fits all” you can’t decide your future you can only make sure you get there the moonlight shines and its time to find a sufficient place to stay for the night and though I may not have an address, I’ve finished my pursuit of happiness. ~me Ok, forced rhyme ya…w/ever….oh, and I did get the idea from the movie “pursuit of happiness…” |
