The light was so bright our time together unforgettable the love was fierce and unconditional When the light started to dim the darkness crept in slowly sinking its teeth cleverly trapping me unnoticed I longed for the light still saw it shining the darkness would pass A dream convinced into reality A lie made into truth crumbling around me the darkness grew heavier the lightning struck and thunder surrounded the emptiness between us crashing down this feels like death Am I dying or are you dead everything becomes still the calm after the storm calm enough to walk again toward the light forgiving the darkness believing the lies waiting for the light to strike If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. |

this i thought was very good although the ending has to be the most powerful thing (for me) in this poem it stands out strong. thank you for sharing with us peach ![]() hunnie ![]() A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war and a time for peace ~Ecclesiastes 3:8~ |
