Life's A Long Journey To Walk Alone

Well it seems to be a habit now,
you always on my mind.
Everything I hear or see
simply reminds me of you.

I don't know what I would do,
if you ever decided to take yourself away.
You're all I'll ever need,
so please come and life this life with me.

We can walk along the
desserted dirt road together,
hand in hand keeping each other
safe and sound.

Then finally when we reach
that destination we can sit and stare
at who we used to be,
and why we put up a shield.

For when we're together,
I feel as though nothing matters.
You're all I see and hear
in this world of constant fear.

Protect me if you will,
from lifes daggers of pain.
I know you have them too,
I see it everyday.

So here we are again,
me staring into your beautiful eyes.
Is this just me,
or do you feel it too?
