My head is spinning round and round My heart aches out in pain I’m choking on my own words, And you’re driving me insane You’re standing at the chapel Your hair a faded brown Your smile worth a million dollars Oh god you’re bringing me down We were lovers back in high school Til you went and left You broke my heart in pieces And we’ll forget the rest Now I’m sitting in a church And you’re marrying this girl I’m sitting next to the man I love But you make my stomach whirl My heart skipped a beat or too When she walked down the aisle How come it wasn’t me up their? Was I not worth the while? So tell me why I ache inside When we’ve been mates for a year Why is that marrying her? Brings me down in fear I’m walking to my front door Pregnant and upset Another day to write away Another memory to forget The pictures up the hallway Bring me to the floor I sit against the wall and cry I can’t take it anymore So tell me where I stuffed up When I have this amazing life This amazing family I’m about to be a wife So tell me is this karma Did I deserve this too? I love my fiancé so much So why the hell, do I love you |

Ah Jess...This was an amazing poem. I mean an abosulutely astounding "Where do I buy the book?" type poem! I can't say I can empathize completely but I think I know what you're going through. It's going to hurt, and I don't know how to make it hurt less. Focus on the love you have, keep walking forward and don't allow yourself to think of anything else. It WILL go away. It'll just take time. OH SHUT UP SHUT UP AND GIVE SOMEONE ELSE A CHANCE!!!! |

Aww honey! This poem was amazing!!.. -sigh- like usual.. hehe.. I agree.. It'll go away. You and your fiance are a lovely couple and I'm sure you love him unconditionally.
