Behind Average Eyes

I'm just a boy
Thought I could be a man
To push against the tide
And never wonder why but that wasn't the plan

I'm just the kid
With his head in the sky
Oblivious to others
And hid away from the worlds lies

Thought I could be someone else
Put on a mast and believe
Fool the ones around me
But I can't be easily deceived

Tried to fit in
To blend in the crowd
To be another average Joe
But to be forced not to make a sound

I guess this boy can't stop wishing.
Needs to get his head back down to solid ground.
You can't find simple answers lying in the clouds.
You have to go searching until they be found.
So this poem isn't my best at the moment. But it'll have to do..

this is good man i like it. but 1 thing..... were you meaning mast or mask? because if it was mast.... shouldn't it be "put up a mast" cuz i thought mast was the thing on the boat???

Yes keagan.. A mast is appart of a boat. But I made a typo and it is suppose to be "mask" and Thanks guys
