So we have this desire But we live with no hope We bleed, we cry We turn our heads and tell these lies What would you call an “American Dream?” Freedom isn’t even free We murder, we rape We live alone and let these sorrows drape What is “love” now-a-days? Is there a such thing because I don’t feel it Do you? I mean we kick back and sit But what if our desires could be fulfilled Us who actually have them….. What if we took pennies for every bleeding soul How rich would we be then? Would we be what McCain calls “Middle Class?” Our less than 5million a year Or would we be just as rich Would America finally be satisfied? Maybe we would have enough to stop The way the world spins so stupidly around |
