So, I have three possible titles for this...Two Little Ones, Chocolate Chip Cookies, or A Robin.  I'm not sure i really like any of them, but i can't think of anything else...any ideas, let me know!

A litle one,
about to leave the nest
flaps her wings,
and flutters-
-hovers-
then glides,
pushed by the gentlest
breath of breeze.
Startled, she watches
the edge of her world
pass under her feet.
A boy, walking home,
from a day of classes,
stops suddenly
under a tree,
near a wall,
and looks down.
Then picks up a small
mound of debris
and continues his walk,
home to his mother.
To her love, guidance, and
freshly baked cookies.
Chocolate chip.
His favorite.
A young mother,
waiting for her son,
with freshly baked
chocolate chip cookies,
unexpectedly finds herself
consoling him,
explaining the premature
loss of life-
the feathered debris
found near a tree,
found near a wall.

Remember:Tuck your chin, you're going to get hurt, so expect it and be ready. You might as well see it coming.
