I don't know what's gonna happen When the memories start to fade? Will our hearts start to sadden When our dreams slowly drift away? I don't know when this will be Or has it already begun? Is it too far to see Or is it near to come? I don't know what will be tomorrow, Happiness defeating sorrow Finally, at last It might be If not for the past The destruction it brings upon me Has it already begun to rain Pouring so violently? Like the tears That cannot stop But worse our fears That make us rot And slowly too If only they knew The World That sits so blindly Pertending they can see Not knowing, That they're destroying me, All of us And why, Just because It's what the world does, Steadily erasing us What we once were One detail at a time Making us unsure This personality? This attitude? Is it mine? Am I who I am Why did they take What I can understand And leave me with difference I don't know what's gonna happen When all I know starts to fade? Will it even matter If nothing is the same? Live in the present but don't forget the future |
