Pushed Down by the Past I found what I was searching for It hid in plain view-sight In the bottom of my open heart That holds the darkest light I shutter quite in loneliness No tears can be contained But in this quiet solitude All thrives upon my pain I wish that calm white solace Would come and swallow me But nothing reaches fingers That swipe the open sea But if I asked a moment Of your precious time Would I gain your answers Or a coldness in your eyes But though you hate my very being I have some comfort near And though you spite me no relief I have a love right here "Lucy: I think you are the most selfish person on the planet. George: Well that's just silly. Have you met everyone on the planet?" |
