Behind the Bars of your Lies

I trusted you, I let you in.
I opened the gates to the secrets within.

And what did you do?

You attacked me from the inside;
Like a spy.
It's like you stole my soul
and tore through my trust.

It tore my heart.

But what's done is done.

And now you're behind bars,
stronger than iron,
more captive than greed.

You're behind the bars of your lies.
And beyond the bars of my life.

I really liked this...i can totally relate to it. I'm going through a really tough time right now, and this fits perfectly!!

If you love someone, let them go. If they come back, they were always yours. If they don't, they never were.

Wow. You speak so openly and cleary its hard not to notice. I love this poem, it fits with so many problems people face all the time, including me...great write, library.
