My Hero... I remember your smile every second of the day And when I am sad you always seem too know exactly what to say When I fall over your spirit picks me straight back up, It’s like you kiss me better and tell me that I’m tough Your daddy’s little angel, mum always used too say I always denied it and told her to go away You say you’re proud and deep down I know that what you say is true And I take it to heart and cherish it too You’ve taught me so much in my 15 years of life You’ve taught me to laugh and to stay out of strife. You’ve taught me to love and to strive for the best And you promised me that no matter who I became you wouldn’t love me any less I see the bravery in your eyes as you face each day You face it with courage because it’s the true family way The spirit of a butterfly waiting to take flight Is the exact way you describe me when you see me in sight Dad you’re my hero I want be just like you I will love you forever and I know you will love me forever too. |
