I’ll Be Here Always

Right in this very moment,
I can’t get my hopes up...
That I’ll see you once again.

I miss you so much,
Your smile and your laughter,
Your jokes and you excuses.

Why did you have to go?
You always had friends here,
Especially me...

I want you to know something,
Know that you were why I’m still here,
And that deep down—I loved you.

So now as summer break has arrived,
And you presence is missing,
I don’t know how to move on.

Please oh please come back,
Just for me?
Then we’ll have more good times.

But no—that’s not what you want,
That’s not what was going to happen,
That’s not what was in store.

I’ll be here always,
Waiting for you return,
Waiting for you to take me with you.
