What you did to me

everything i feel
leaves me empty
with the lies i once thought
were real

i've broken down those doors
but it seems like
every time one falls
a stronger, harder door
shows up
looking like a brick wall

My trust that i gave you
has been abused
the time i spent getting
to know you
was a waste if my time

because it seems to me that
you are who you think
i want you to be
not the true you

if you really love me
why do you hurt me
then act like everything is ok
you think all you have
to say is sorry
but you know what the word sorry
doesn't make everything ok
somethings will always
be the same
because of what you did to me

I can definately relate to this. My boyfriend just broke up with me last night and these words are the exact things i felt like saying but couldn't put them together. Nice work!
