Holding On To You

Your simple touch,
That warm smile.
Linger around our happy times.

All throughout the summer,
What great times we had.
Until tragedy struck…and I was alone.

Your love for me was never forgotten,
All because it was in my tummy.
Transforming into something that is ours.

Without you I felt sick,
And I couldn’t go on.
But with the help of Halley…I managed.

You best friend Macon still misses you,
Although he never says anything.
He tells Halley though, then she told me.

My tummy is growing bigger and bigger,
Because your love never stopped either.
And now, this little child is in this world.

I love you so much,
I will never let go of you.
And Grace will remind me of you, until I see you again.

And so does this child.

Thanks for reviewing everyone! I'm glad this is going over well. This poem is actually based on the book Someone Like You, by Sarah Dessen. It's a great book! Sad, happy, confusion, frustration, and romance. Everything I look for in a great read. I suggest it to all. Thanks for reviewing again!
