A Foot Away

Even at a foot away
You look right past me everyday
There clearly is no place for me
Inside the walls of what you see

And yea, outside, you smile, laugh
But I can see beneath and past
Your carefully placed, and gently layed
Quick, yet quiet, bright façade

Ah, once, how things- they used to be
Draped in pure simplicity
But since you choose the path Ignore
The simple things are now no more

And here I sit, a foot away
Alone and quiet everyday
Lost in loneness’’ embrace
Wishing for another place . . .

RRRR you rock my world. its been very cool seeeing your first writes and how much you have grown since then. i love every one i come across, but i think this one takes the cake. i love its flow and word choice. it was so natural. nothing seemed forced and i myself (if you couldnt tell) am very partial to this particular rhyming style.

CO! you made me tear up with you praise!!!!! thank you- it always meant the world to me to see you've read my stuff. it means more than you could possible imagine, for i've always reviered your work.
