Memory Lane A walk down memory lane, It takes us down many boulevards. Streets of heartache, curves of tears, holes of misery Each street sign is another memory waiting, Laying on the sofa, a blanket covering you and your true love Another sign in the distance, Spending time together driving around randomly With each passing sign each turn gets harder to take The streets get narrower Six lane freeways turn into four lane highways Four lane highways suddenly constrict to three lane everyday streets Those three lane streets turn into a one way circle of heartache and tears Laying in bed at night, the walk down memory lane always continues Everything you do to make it stop, makes it come harder, faster The memories more vivid, Running through the woods now with the one you love, Leaves cracking, twigs snapping, laughter resounding That body you’ll always remember leaping around in front of you A walk down memory lane, It takes us down many boulevards. Streets of heartache, curves of tears, holes of misery Each street sign, another memory waiting to be opened. |

Jon, this memory lane seems very familiar. |
