Worn down by water, stones of an old sea wall stand On the shores of the sea. Waves crashing shatter, White droplets of spray fall into the cracks. In long ago days it was tall and proudly firm. Left to be in a desolate mess now by its creators. Pieces have been removed, taken out of play. Empty holes now let seawater enter its threshold. Sinking deep into a damp state of decay. In the incoming storm it will not hold. To forcefully come apart, the dynamic base. Effective spurts of energy push past barriers of defense. It will account to nothing just in the way. Curling waves will roll on over, into the town. The essence of the tide will seep through the spaces. Taken by surprise, pulled out to sea by the magnetic tug, People will wonder and make an attempt to throw the blame. Posing up the question why it came down, then they’ll remember They left it to stand-alone. Broken by the pressure, unable to sustain. The old sea wall let water through the town. |

not one of my favorites by you but this also had a fair bit of imagery in it... hunnie* ![]() A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war and a time for peace ~Ecclesiastes 3:8~ |
