Lied . . . You know they always tell you To pick the right, not wrong And that if you are angry, To sing a quiet song Well, what if right and right Are the choices you must choose And whichever way you pick You feel that you will lose . . . And when quiet songs come easy You can live amid the strife But a sorry saintly trade For what used to be a life It’s impossible to win In this game we all strike out Killing every blood chance With more unhealthy doubt I’m sorry I have hurt you all I never truly tried It’s killing me to be this way I almost wish I’d lied . . . and in the daylight i miss the nightmare- but deathly fear it in the dark of night |

i agree with earl its better saying the truth then a lie cuz it hurts more telling a lie i know i think we all do in our own way. well yea i loved this poem.. |

very very impressed. i can relate to it. truth is always best although it may seem more painful the pain of a lie is worse and lasts far longer. great write. Belinda~* Expect nothing, Prepare for anything. |

BUt are you not all just wondering what I wish I had lied about? I love someone else, but i also love him fractionally, so i couldn't lie but he gets such a big head thinking he can still win me. it just hurts to give him hope that will never amount to more than pain. -Kate and in the daylight i miss the nightmare- but deathly fear it in the dark of night |
