Love and Lust

"I love you". Such mundane words, which never come to fruition,
spoken by the vile creatures who lurk in depths of humanity.

These once valid convictions of spirit and soul between lovers
have lost all meaning in a lifeless world, where lust makes them want more.

No longer does the rose represent the mutual bonds of love between two beings,
for its use has become amounted to nothing but acts of lust by men for whom love is not enough.

Romance has died in this society of fake individuals
where every act of love is used only to manipulate another's heart.

I feel this way a lot of the time, but not everyone is like this...
