When You Were Young

When you were young
And nothing mattered
Except for the sun

Everything was simple
Feelings rarely got hurt
And nobody minded
If you laid in the dirt

So you got a little time
Have you chosen the past
The memories there
Have not long to last

Some things you may
Never ever forget
Others, forever,
You’ll learn to regret

So live a little backwards
For an hour or two
And live the moments over
That made you you

Don’t you remember
When you were young
Forever was so short
It proffered a run

and in the daylight i miss the nightmare- but deathly fear it in the dark of night

i love the line "forever was so short"

but i wonder whether it is true. when we were young forever was..... endless. forever didn't have a limit because when we heard "forver" it was usually our mom "i'll love you forever"

now if we hear that, when is it ever a long time? there's a song lyric "forever's gonna start tonight" but in most relationships these days forver doesn't mean much. idk just a thought

forever- doesn't seem so long ago . . . isn't that in a song or something, i think barry manilow (yea, i know an oldies- but a good oldies) lol. love you all thanks for the coments and stimulating thoughts. been gone for a while hopefully i'll be strong and fresh with my new rest and lack of writer's block . . . lol.
