My heart, My choice

this poem is about a heart condition, it's been modified for pip if you'd like to read the original version just send me an email.

always the same
full of life and never down
but see what I'm like when no ones around
Inside I hold a secret
as I bounce around, make your day
you'll never know, on the inside
my heart fades away
slowly dies inside me
Never to see my kids grow up
grand children play in the sun
probably never be married
I hope to see the world
I wont live on drugs and machines
orders, theories, suggestions
always the same
this time it's different
I take control
no one can make this choice but me
I won't live in fear, of what might come
constant checkups, everyday
the choice is mine
my choice to make
my new motto

live hard, die young

I don't care if you think I'm a fool but don't ever tell me so

I understand, you may not have a say in your heart condition, but you can have a say in the way things go for you....

I would want it that way too.
