The SeaShore Gently and softly The wave to the cloud Had said that in mourning The wind howled aloud But softly yet- and silent The cloud did move abroad Opening her gentle rain To the sea she laud And still the jealous wind Forsook that task so bold That crime against the ages, he Refused to ‘ere grow old The sea did haunt in torment This unforgiving toll For none did understand the wind Except for she in lull But returning to her depths For the wind her face refused The sea did meet the shore line And in comfort she did use The story of the cruelest parts The moaning she endured Had cut across her barren face And she herself insured That none could ever being to pass The parting of the sea For her most beloved shore He gave her all for free and in the daylight i miss the nightmare- but deathly fear it in the dark of night |
