Sitting there alone
Tears rolling down her face
She’s just another angel
That somehow fell from grace

She’s lost in her own destiny
Tangled in her past
Broken and dislodged
Each breathe could be her last

For all the time’s you’ve left her wounded
All the times you’ve said “we’re through”
She bleeds a blood so pure
And she’s bleeding it for you.

She can say she’s over you
But deep down it isn’t true
After all the pain you’ve caused her
She’ll always be in love with you

So here she sits crying
Because what’s done is done
She’s just another of your doormats
That you like to bring undone

She’s strangled by your choke hold
Suffocated by your fears
It only took a distant memory
To bring this angel to tears

So breathe a little slower
Let go of your regret
Because even an angel
Has to remember to forget
