Love- Meh, who Needs it?

So love has always deemed
Itself to all the world
But the evil men don’t give it
Though they may get some in return

Can you say that you love me?
And mean it too
You’re not an evil man
So half baked words won’t do

If the world was filled with feeling
Then could we all be more
But these are just pathetic thoughts
Of a mind filled up with lore

But can’t you see what I’m doing now
I’m making myself sick with good intentions
That do nothing for me
But give me back hand pensions

I’m seeing all their happiness
And I sin for I’m coveting
Everything that they have built
Is slowly killing me

If only you were open
I could be what you have wished
But sadly you will never
Be much more than this

and in the daylight i miss the nightmare- but deathly fear it in the dark of night

i like it! your really honestly right. i know you were just venting cause you were mad but if you think about all the lives we could save without love its astonishing!

And completely true...
If we were all mindless zombies there would be less cases of depression, suicide, devorce and all those other heartbreaking, life-ruining things.

Great poem Kate Darling.. just adding me own two cents... if we had no love yess indeed there would be less deaths.... but look at us...!!! we are already soooo over populated hehe.. ohh dear.. that wuz out of line wasn't it OOPS.. but n e waiz... loved this sooo true!!
