This is how broken hearts begin
With ones so whole and clear
As I see her her heart in pain
I'd break mine to be near

I would cut out my own heart
I'd bleed from every pore
If I could take her pain within
Free it, feel it as My sin

Is this what the preacher means?
Is this simple Chistian love?
If so I'll kneel today and pray
Pray she feels our love

it sounds like we sort of have the same situation. we both have trouble reaching from an aching heart to touch another. please tell me if i'm way off base, it's your life, and your poem. it just touched me, maybe not the way u intended, but perfect for me any way. thank you.

Wow Earl this is amazing!! i love this! i understand the feeling your feeling. Its hard to help someone else when they dont noticed that your trying to help them. (idk if that relates to your poem. i thought it did but i dont think it does lol) great write!!

ummm your words mirror me, my actions, my intentions. i've done this so many times before. man- do we need counsiling or what?!? earl, my friend, we make a very heartwretching pair of friends.
