I don't know why, i'd pretend.
I dont know why, you pretend to be a friend.
I'm not to sure what you want from me?
Or what i should do?

I guess i got to close.
To close for you to handle.
Would i find out something?
That your scared of.
& now im sitting here, so confused you'll never know.

If its that bad in me knowing.
Then why be anything to me at all?
I just wanna be here and help you.
I'm not gonna go, or look at you in a different way.

But i guess ill just have to wait.
Wait it out.
& i know one day. I'll be able to hold you.
With tears streaming down your face.
Letting it all out.
& letting me clear up the mess.

I just wanna be here for you
Thats what a love should do.
& one day i know ill be able to.
Find a way to reach to you.
& just say im here for you.
Like i always have been.
