Without it All The pride of humility I lost all that I had To gain so much more – poorly Insanity, the madness of happiness The peace, power and pride of light Light bearing darkness, proud foolishness Lord knows I must learn what others know Learn to accept and to love my siblings Before my heart is again covered in snow A friendship of happenstance And a group to change the world Never accept that it was merely chance For all played in my hands Your honesty taught me tolerance Insanity meets madness and while prudence demands The game it falls on unwilling ears as my walls are taught to fall Understanding love is bought A friendship which is missing a wall Now with many lessons learned I recall to you what you do know WitchAmandamy foolish world upturned I ignore reason once again Focus once more on liberating light Remember the foolishness of men Hoping friendship will forgive that – such a fool’s pitfall But now understanding can be wrought between friends I’ll remember what you’ve taught lest I learn – to live without it all "Be Strong and Always Remember what made you you." I understand...I think. I think it's one of those poems where the last stanza brings it all together. Like when you sew; the last stitch will hold the object together so it forms something. It may be talking about the way people loose things that they love or care for but then that thing goes away so they have to learn how to live without it all. hense the tittle. But, Falling Rain, It also may be a poem that only poeple who have experienced it may understand. And I don't know, maybe you have experienced something like that, it also depends on how you process what the words mean. i don't mean to judge you're poem Earl, but maybe you could tell me if I'm on the right track with understanding?
