When I get where I’m going
There will only be happy tears
My memories will be forgotten
I’ll love and have no fears

So this is where I sit
Alone in the sand
Tears rolling down my face
Ice Tea in my hand

It’s time for me to be a bigger person
Stand up and let it all go
I’m not a liar
This you all should know

I’m not here to forgive
But I’m not here to hate
I’m here to leave it all behind
Walk away, close the gate

If every word in all my poems
Are one’s I think of when I wake?
Then tell me where the emotion comes from
Because emotion is something you can’t fake

Maybe a picture of Ella’s tombstone
Will prove to you she was real
But I shouldn’t have to show you
My sincerity you should feel

But enough is enough
I’m done with it all
You can call me a liar
Because I’m building a wall

You can say you’re sorry
But I’ve got no sympathy for that
I’m being the bigger person
I’m not taking you back

I walk along this beach tonight
My bare feet upon the sand
My hair blowing in the breeze
An eternity ring on my hand
The ring reminds me of my future
Of all things I’ve said and done
Of all the dreams I had in life
Of all the times I’ve been brought undone

So when I get where I’m going
The skies will no longer be black
Cause i’ll be with another guy
One who truly loves me back

to be loved back- it truely is a marvel isn't it? sometimes it's so hard to believe that someone could love imperfect "me" right? i definately feel that way alot- it was beautiful. i must say that you"knocked my socks off . . ." ummm that sounds familiar!
