I always write poems that reflect somthing of myself: most of them are deep philisophical and full of double meanings. This one isn't! Optimistic Insanity I believe that pessimism is just a waste of time What’s the point of doom and gloom if you can make a rhyme? So get on up out of your bed Listen to the voice in your head (I’m sure that he’d agree!) The time has come to come along and sing out merrily! No need to get angry Over some murder in Langley (I helped a friend out today) You may think me mad But you can’t make me sad! So while the world might want a ‘realist’ They can’t fool me ‘cause I’m a ‘feelist’! The world is full of pessimists (Not just men ready to slit their wrists) “Crime’s on the rise and this fry is too salty!” I’d say it’s time for some outright insanity So if you want doom and gloom Or a big KA BOOM Just turn on the news But if you want gladness (come on you’ve got nothing to loose) All you must do is look out your front door Where the sun is starting to soar! Believe me just try it Put on a smile that’s sure to fit For things are getting better (and look how much worse it could be) It’s a fact that some refuse to see (As they will till we no longer die) Please try if you can (if you can’t well bye bye) You can if you want call me mad I will agree, and what’s more… I’ll pretend to be totally sad! Well Done.. Great Write.. You write alot differently to me so its strange with the diff genres etc.. but i really felt this.. was deffenatly a great write in my books.. Cheers, Jess |

hey, thanks for the posts on some of my stuff. i apreciate it alot. and your not so bad urself man, i liked ths. its realy diffrent, you know? and thats why i like it so much. diverse poems are the best! |
