in an instant-
in a single moment-
everything can change;
our lives hinge on minutes-
-on seconds-
and in an instant,
our smiles can be exchanged

but a friend is oh so different
although grades and love may stray
a friend is someone here to stay, to Never go away!
and in seconds-
-in an instant-
a fight can turn okay,
-in an instant-
-in a Moment-
no matter how hurt or mad,
you have to let the past go past
if you see a friend is sad

I remember a friendship like that. We've been friends since birth and polar opposites since grade 2!
