Daydreams . . .

I can think of nothing better
Than to spend a day with you
The thought of us makes me smile
There’s nothing I can’t do

Your face and voice appear
In my daydream’s début
And my dear I find that
All I think of is you

I cherish the moments
Where it’s just me and you
When the world has stepped out
It becomes just us two

My dear, the world is angry
It doesn’t care for love
And nothing else we could do
Would redeem us enough

You’ve become my harbor
I just hope I don’t annoy
You just give me so much hope
I’m near bursting with joy

You’ve become my daydream
Giving me the will to go on
So dearly I love you
You let me be strong

and in the daylight i miss the nightmare- but deathly fear it in the dark of night
