I need one Shinning Star

I’m tired of standing in the rain
When I think I’m in the sun
I’m tired of being cold
When think I’m warm
I’m tired of feeling so undone

I’m think I’m happy
And I think I’m in heaven
But the truth is that reality
Has me long overdone
For the truth is that they’ve won

I’m tired of being
The puppet in your hands
Unknowingly- and
No I don’t understand
That I wasn’t in heaven’s hands

I’m tired of hearing
That I mean everything
When the truth is that
You don’t mean a thing
You say

I’m tired of heaven
That’s only in my dreams
I’m tired of thinking
That you know every word
I sing- the words I sing

I hope heaven isn’t far
I hope that I have
At least o n bright and shining star
Because I need one, I need one
