The Edge of the World

This was written from the inspiration of a dream of my friend whom I will call John. He told me about this dream of his and I have recently decided that I was going to wrap it in poetry. Hope you all like
Note- this is a song and meant to be sung, I have a melody and am currently figuring a paper copy of it.

The one day- that I woke up
On the wrong side of town
The stars were up and the moon was still cold
And my eyes were on the ground

It was time to hear the voice
That told me just one thing

The edge of the world is perfect
There’s a place for you and me
It’s got a no boundaries line
And a clock that doesn’t chime
And last night in my dream
You followed me there

So I looked up and I saw the face
That came with that speaking voice
The stare was intense
And the eyes were a light
With what we’ll call
Fiery choice

But that voice- it was still speaking
So I turned to listen there

The edge of the world is perfect
There’s a place for you and me
You followed me to this heaven
At least it’s heaven to me
So let’s go down together
Fingers entwining

So let’s go down together . . .
Fingers entwining

"I have no other but a woman's reason:
I think him so, because I think him so."
