i can see the pain in your eyes
even when you laugh
even when you smile
the pain is lurking there like a hidden beast

you hide from the world but you cant hide it from me
how can this be?
what makes you so ready to flee?
were you beaten as a child?
has nothing made life worth while?

i try to help you laugh
i try to help you smile
why do you fake this very fake smile?
i do not know what makes you so broken

i know you have felt pain
and you dont seem to gain
but its a plain amd simple truth
with pain there is joy

try to erase your pain
remember your joy
dont keep things bottled up
tell people whats up

this is all i can say
for i also hide my pain away
now ill leave you to ponder about what i had to say
