Dare venture into my mind I welcome you inside Now be careful not to trip On the lies I try to hide. Beware of all the guilt It may strangle you as you pass Rise up on your tippy-toes As you pass emotions made of glass. Watch your back at all times Pain lurks not too far behind Better hide your deepest secrets From the dangerous grasp of my mind. Be cautious of the darkness: It’s where the monsters reside They’ll feast on your biggest fears And snack on all your pride. Come a little further now There’s no need to be afraid The anger and spite will take care of you As you travel through my masquerade. Inside this exterior, over which the eye might have roved…there was the record of a pulsing life, which had learnt too well for its years – Thomas Har |
