For years and years our family portrait
Has hung straight upon the wall
But now it’s hanging crooked
Ready to finally fall

For years and years
You’ve won my heart
But now it’s broken
You’ve torn it apart

You’re supposed to be my father
Instead all I see is hate
Every time you’re out alone
I wonder if you’re on a date

If we weren’t enough for you
You should have just went
You’re a grown man for god’s sakes
You would have known how much we meant

Instead now you need another woman
To fulfill your heart
You don’t know we know it
But you’re going to tear our family apart

Mum’s sick and frail
she has been for years
But still it seems her illness
Is no longer the cause of our tears

Daddy I hate you
I’m sick of how much you lie
Go on run away with her
Because this is my goodbye

my dad left when I was in grade 5, not for the same reason but it still hurts when i think about it alot. Hopefully everythingwill be okay for you.

i know how you feel. i dont live with my dad any more for somewhat the same reasons. i hope your doing better.. try to learn to forgive him... trust me the more you hate the more it will hurt you insted of him...
