I guess it’s finally happened, My heart has died, And a large piece of my soul, Along with it, I had thought my heart had passed, Onto another world not too long ago, But I was wrong at that time, All it had done was freeze, In a space of a moment, To a chunk of ice unable to move, But as I sit here now, I realize it really has stopped breathing, Stopped living deep inside of me, It’s not what I thought it would be like, It’s not cold or painful, Like it was when it was froze, No it’s none of that, There’s emptiness instead, A deep hollow feeling, I don’t think it can be brought back to life again, And I’m so sad because of it, I’m not so silly as to think, What I’ve experienced is recreational, Something that can be found and repeated, The feelings and the trust that came along with it, That amazing capability of being able to spill your very person, To someone else and know they understand, Cannot be taken again, I may be young, But I know when something special has happened, Something rare and beautiful, And I know when those things have died, Your not a bad guy, Don’t’ think that I assume that, I guess a lot of it was my fault, Suppose I should be sorry, But I’m not because I know, Your going to be just fine, And I’m going to stay dead. I’m good during the day. But at night I wait.I wait for the one who’ll never return. |
