Light up another and sink into my past The smoke stings my eyes, just like the last Building up those tears, the lids will soon overflow Spill out all the lies I wish no one will ever know You’re intrigued by the image I tried to be, But it was so hard for you to handle the real me. Pealed off my mask and let my guard down Sunken so deep in embarrassment, I almost drowned. You just can’t appreciate the person I am I’ll try to keep pretending I don’t give a damn Each time you sink your nails into my back Again, I fall right onto that track Remember the one that would lead me to shame? I know you do, the one you went down was the same You molded it so I could follow in your tracks, Shaped it just like the scars on our backs I know you'll be a sun in somebody else's sky, but why can't it be mine? |
