I still call you my best friend Even though you never call I told you that i felt the change Why are you blaming me with this fall? How can you say youv'e been there When you left in my time of need? How could i have helped but push you away? I didn't want you to be burdened by me I'm sorry that you feel this way but one thing will never change The words that hang Around your neck Imprinted on you chain If I'm already dead to you Then maybe i really should die I'll dig my grave in the ground the place where I'll forever lie this poem was written to a friend who i was in the middle of a fight with. it was over the internet and we got into a battle of poems war thing so this was a response to her poem titled : a note to my dead friend and it went like this: you know i used to call you my friend no wait my best friend what happend you changed you rearranged yourself now i dont even know you yet i was still there for you but you just pushed me away and now all i can say is that im sorry sorry for being you friend sorry that i said we would be tight till the end im sorry cuz i knew friends dont last forever people just say it cuz it ryhymes or whatever but were still just kids well learn from out mistakes and childhood years anyways luckily were friends again but its kinda shakey. so yeah enjoy. |
