Before he was mine He did what he could To protect our freedom Not just mine and his But every American You see, before he was mine He belonged to the army He belonged to the country He got hurt in the war I’m so proud of him Before he was mine, He was in Iraq Fighting the fight His heart beat For the American future Before he was mine He was in my heart Before I met him He was my hero Before he was mine A man in uniform Doing what he had to do I cried over his scar Left by a bullet Before he was mine I love him more Everyday I think About what he did To protect my country Before he was mine I now wear his ring And share his name But can’t stop thinking Of all he did for us all Before he was mine |

I liked this it was reallt sweet and it had a good ending... I really needed to hear a good ending for once. I think I remember you I'm sure awhile ago I read one of your poems. Great to have you back. Krysti |
