Did I say you could tell me What I'm supposed to do? Did you ever hear me say I'd take orders from you? You say you have the answer But how can that be true When you don't even understand The question that I'm askin you? Sometimes it's like...I'm misunderstood Sometimes it's like...I don't know who I am. Sometimes it's like...my friends are the only ones Who understand or even give a damn About me How I feel What's goin' on Hey, what's wrong? Is it right? Do I care? They're the ones who understand They're the ones who give a damn Cause they know what it's like to be A Girl Like Me I don't always know what's right But I guess I'm doin' fine 'Cept for when I seem to get it right I've stepped across the line That I didn't know was there And I'm pullin out my hair cause Sometimes it's like...I'm misunderstood Sometimes it's like...I don't know who I am.
