Used to Believe

I used to believe in Love at first sight
when you'd wish and pray about him all night

I used to believe do unto others as you'd have done unto you
but now I see their intensions are untrue

I used to believe in so many things
but now all I want is a pair of wings

These wings that I'd have would take me away
to a place of peace where I could pray

I'd pray for all of us, good and bad
I'd pray for no one to ever feel sad

But for now I'll sit here alone and dwell
and continue my life in a living hell.

~If we didn't have any bad days, we wouldn't appreciate the good ones~

that absolutly did a wonderful job as an end to the poem, i really loved this stanza.

i hope you enjoy it here at passions reading and writing poetry... also i thought this was a great poem for your first post... i'll be looking to read more poetry from you...

scary.. i just went on a scool trip and things went out of hand and that poem, i thought it wa sme like literally cause that is exactly how i feel rite now.
