The Parrot When my kid's birthday rolled around, I found a feathered gift to give. The pet store said that he spoke well, He only spouted expletives. How could I give my child a bird To teach him words he shouldn't say? I took the parrot to a friend And asked he teach a better way. He read sweet lyrics to the bird And played soft music every night. No matter what he tried, or did, The parrot's words were vile with spite. I finally took the parrot home In hopes that I might do some good By offered him some tempting treats, I'm sure he's just misunderstood. The bird just squawked his ugly words, At last I just could take no more. I threw him in with frozen foods And smilingly I closed the door. The bird became meek and polite, Amazed, I cracked the freezer lid. He quickly made apology.... Then asked me what the chicken did. turtle |

My word! What a fun read this was! The ending cracked me up! From now on, anything you ask of the parrot, it will undoubtedly comply with! If it ever steps out of line, all you will ever need to do is remind him of that frozen chicken! lol lol lol I truly enjoyed this! You are wise and have a great sense of humour, dear Slow One! EA |

Yo Turtle,, Parrots are lovely birds. I've never had one, but now you have aroused my interest. Bobby |
