The Bully Tree The Bully leaves in early spring, As Weaver Finch begin to sing. Faint wisps of white traverse the sky, Reflected in iced ponds ebbed nigh. When winter's chill relents it's sting. As church bell's toll becomes a ting, And townfolk's traipse steps up to spring; No longer am I Captain Bligh, The Bully leaves. The Bully Tree, in ivy's wring, Puts out a lush and shading wing. Wind's howling hiss subsides to sigh And slips a smile from winter's wry. I have no more desire to swing. The Bully leaves. turtle |
