Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

In you ~ I see strength
and in your strength
I feel beauty.

In you ~ I see magesty
and in your magesty
I feel hope.

In you ~ I see compassion
and in your compassion
I feel love.

In you ~ I see tomorrow.

So, Kacy, I bring you the Denali you have missed.
Because you are forever part of Alaska.

Love,
Alison

Oh, Alison! Those photos are exquisite!
I am humbled by your generosity, your kind words. You are such a beautiful, giving person, all of Pipsland is lucky to have you as a member.
I hope to visit Alaska again some day, though it wouldn't likely be in the heart of winter due to my extreme cold sensitivity from chemo! I dearly miss my rainbow dancing lights, lady Aurora, and on clear days I could see Denali even from Chena Hot Springs Road, outside Fairbanks where I lived for two years. For me, the journey may have to be when the midnightsun lights the night.

Thank you so very much for these fantastic photos and your absolutely heart warming words.  You've made my day!(maybe my year!)

Kacy

Wow, and there is also an Angel spreading his wings over the mountain, see!

Breathtaking beauty, so lovingly shared, dear Alison!

I understand your desire, dear Kacy, to see these majestic panoramas again! You will!

Wonderful!

Love and hugs to both.

Alison, wow! wow! wow! WOW! WOW! WOW!

Alaska (and particularly Denali) in mind-blowing poetry and photography and Alison and Kacy's beautiful reply all in one go!  This is like fried mushrooms followed by creamy coffee-flavoured ice-cream and coffee-cream chocolates!

Thank you.

In you ~ I see magesty

Breathtaking photos dear Alison and that is what I felt when Norma and I surveyed that mighty mountain. Although it was in summer

and very hot, it is a picture that stays in my mind, The grizzly bears is also a sight I'll never forget. Lovely words, enjoyed.

Now, see, Alison, you've confused me so I must go hunting...because I thought I saw Denali in Hawaii...

so searching I will go, as I have heard of it, and recently thought it lived in the Southern climes...

but then...there is more than one Karilea, too.

But truthfully, to the poem, and to your gift...

You remind me of a dear person who gives what they can, and expects very little in return.

Love,

Dear Alison, your pictures do your words justice, and vice versa.

As magnificent as this mountain is, you and Kacy, are the true beauty, of the northern spirit.

You're a wonder!

late,

She's pretty special, isn't she.  Thank you for reading and sharing.

Alison

-

Shelerella,

Thank you.  The pictures took themself, I just held the camera.  It was a beautiful day and I thought of Kacy.  I think she and the mountain share the same spirit.

Alison

-

Dear Kacy,

I believe that we leave part of ourself whereever we go.  You, my friend, left part of your heart here in AK.  You are in the shadows that lie peacefully on the snow.  You are in the aurora that dances across the sky.  You are in the spledor of Denali.  You are in the muted lights that flickers through the birch leaves.

Kacy, you are here in your heart.

Love,
Alison

-

Sue,

Thank you.  It's hard to mess up a view like that.  Believe me, I tried (grins).

Alison

-

Linda,

Might I say that you are in that group too then.

Love,
A

-

inky,

Just drink a frozen drink and think of me in that Bahama dream.  Thank you.

Alison

-

Margherita,

Yep, I agree.  She will.  Thank you, lovely one.

Love,
Alison

-

Thanks, Bobby.  They say it's your mountain too - guess that is why it still has the name "McKinley" attached to it.

Alison

-

Daark,

Your words always mean a bunch to me.

Thank you,
A

-

Dixie,

Thank you.

Alison

-

Bruce,

Thank you, my friend.  Hugs are flying your way as I write this.

Alison

-

suthern,

Thank you so much.

Alison

-

Lindsay,

So you were here.  I thought I heard whispers of that in the clouds that afternoon.  It's beautiful winter or summer.  I am glad that you enjoyed such beauty.

Love,
Alison

-

Karilea,

There really is only Karilea the others are faded imitations of you, the original.  That's how I see it.  And, okay, I confess ....

I laughed.

Love,
Alison

-

Eric,

Thank you for the resounding "Wow".

Alison

-

Kacy, here's hugs and kisses for you.

Hey Kris girl,

Thank you.  Are you breathing again yet?  Do I need to get medics (cute male type) to do CPR?

Alison

-

Thank you, Richy.  I'll pass my share of that honor on to Kacy.  She's the wonder.  I just take the pictures.

Ahhhh I miss Alaska sooo much too.  Beautiful poem and pictures!!!!!  I miss home everyday.  I was born and raised there and was up there for 27 years before moving to Oregon.  Thank You for sharing this with all of us.

Alison, seeing those photos again this morning makes my day glow!
Your words transport me to Denali, to all the beauty that is Alaska.

Thanks to the reader who brought this back front and center,
for you've gifted me with a huge smile this morning.

So Ali, how many bowls of clam chowder did you make? or clam fritters?
I needed to see these photos again today!
I'm doing really good, feeling stronger.
Chemo still seems to be shrinking the tumor, so my fingers are crossed
this beastly invader will go into remission before Fall.
