One Busy Day One busy day I had nothing to do I headed to town and away from it too Saw several people walk into a bar Ducked underneath it and got in my car I wasn’t too hungry, so I stopped to eat Then took a long walk to get off of my feet It was quite hot so I put on my sweater Took off my glasses so I could see better Went in my house to go out on the lawn Turned a switch off so the lights would go on Closed all the shutters to let in some light Opened them up because it was too bright Loaded the washer with all my clean clothes Sure they were dirty or so I suppose Rinsed them with water so they’d all get dry Know it’s the best way but just don’t know why As the sun sets I get dressed up for bed Feet on the pillow and sheets on my head Never always ready for another day Got to be going, so here I will stay |

Very amusing, Steaven. Your sence of humor is showing. Ida |

Sounds like an existential respite from it all!---from the mundane to the sublime! Really enjoyed the fun read, Steaven. art |

You know, when I read your poetry I often think what a great Dad you must be! This is wonderful and has me smiling. Thank you for all that you share - the stories, the smiles and the visions of small children giggling. Alison |
